On July 20, Pengpai News (www.thepaper.cn) learned from the Ministry of Water Resources that the Longshushan Tunnel of Lot 3 of the Red River Section of Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project contracted by China Railway Third Engineering Group Co., Ltd. has been successfully completed, marking that the Red River Section of Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project has made progress again.
The total length of the Longshushan Tunnel is 2743.088 meters, with a total length of 2676.788 meters for Class V and Class V defective sections, accounting for 97.56% of the total tunnel length. The project area belongs to the Tonghai Shiping strong Seismic zone, and the regional tectonic stability is poor. The tunnel section cut by the combination of weak rock stratum, broken rock mass, and steep dip fracture development is very easy to produce crown block fall, roof collapse, and large deformation and damage caused by bending and internal bulge. The construction is difficult and the safety risk is high.
Since the start of construction, the Honghe Branch has united and led all parties involved in the construction to closely cooperate, take multiple measures, and face difficulties. They have made every effort to promote the construction of the project, effectively overcoming more than 80 large and small landslides, and solving various difficulties and problems encountered during the construction process. Firstly, during the tunnel construction process, the principle of "exploration must be carried out if there is any doubt, exploration must be carried out first before excavation, and no exploration must be carried out before excavation" is adhered to. Technical means such as TETSP, TGS, transient electromagnetic, geological radar, and advanced horizontal drilling are used to provide early warning of unfavorable geological conditions. A total of over 50 advanced geological forecasts have been made, effectively overcoming the impact of unfavorable geological conditions such as faults and fractured zones. Second, in view of the instability of the surrounding rock of the tunnel face, mud inrush and water inrush, the upper and lower benches method is used for construction, and the principle of "focusing on plugging and combining plugging and drainage" is strictly followed for advance consolidation grouting and advance small conduit construction, while strengthening daily convergence Deformation monitoring monitoring to effectively reduce safety risks. The third is to strengthen organizational management, scientifically prepare construction plans based on the surrounding rock conditions of the face, strictly follow the principles of "short footage, strong support, fast closure, and frequent measurement" to organize construction, reasonably allocate various resources, optimize the allocation of labor, construction materials, and mechanical equipment for each process during the construction process, ensure the orderly development of each process, and promote construction speed.
Since the construction of the Longshushan Tunnel on November 30, 2020, with the joint efforts of all parties involved, after 959 days and nights of hard work, it has finally achieved smooth connection.
