In July, the flowing fire fills the pond with lotus flowers. In the afternoon of July 1, the 65th anniversary academic activity of the Capital Institute of Pediatrics and the sub forum on genetics of the seminar on high-quality development of children's health, with the theme of "forging ahead in a new era, building dreams for the future", was held in the Lecture hall of Ritan Hotel. More than 80 doctors, researchers, and graduate students from multiple research and clinical departments of the Capital Institute of Pediatrics attended this meeting.

The meeting was first announced to begin by Researcher Song Fang, the chief expert of the Genetics Research Office of the Capital Institute of Pediatrics, and Researcher Jiang Qian, the deputy director of the Genetics Research Office, delivered a welcoming speech. This forum invited researcher Luo Minmin from the Beijing Brain Science and Brain like Research Center, Professor Chen Wanjin from the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, researcher Du Quan from the School of Pharmacy of Peking University, Professor Wu Qian from Beijing Normal University, and researcher Chen Xiaoli, researcher Qu Yujin and associate researcher Xie Hua from the Genetics Research Office to make theme reports for the conference, which can be described as a "gluttonous feast" gathered by celebrities.

The three experts in the Institute showed the participants the latest research results of the main research groups in the Genetics Room in terms of the genetic basis and Targeted therapy of neurodevelopmental disorders, the development of new therapeutic targets and combined treatment of spinal muscular atrophy, and the genetic pedigree characteristics and phenotypic correlation of neurodevelopmental disorders in children. Through the convening of this forum, we have effectively achieved the goal of strengthening academic exchange and scientific research cooperation, and enhancing the influence of genetics research in our institute.
