At the 6th China Tianjin International Helicopter Expo recently held, more than 350 participating enterprises gathered in the airport area of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, attracting more than 60000 domestic and foreign visitors. During the 4-day exhibition, 62 helicopters were delivered, sold, and intended to be sold, with a total amount of nearly 3 billion yuan. Over 100 engines and large equipment were sold and sales contracts were signed on-site.

The successful hosting of the Direct Expo has attracted the attention of domestic and foreign aviation manufacturing, supporting, operation, service industries, and a large number of merchants in Tianjin. Yang Lin, Director of the Aviation Industry Development Bureau of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, stated that currently, the aviation industry has become one of Tianjin's strategic industries, and the Tianjin Airport Economic Zone, the permanent host of the Tianjin Direct Expo, has become an important aviation industry base in China. After years of accumulation, Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone has formed four major aviation industry clusters: aviation manufacturing, aviation maintenance, aviation services, and aviation logistics, covering nearly 200 aviation industry projects in fields such as research and development design, aircraft assembly, component production, aviation logistics, and aviation training. It has embarked on a path of innovative development in the aviation industry characterized by international cooperation. The Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone will adhere to the development concept of the entire aviation industry chain, focusing on the development of sub sectors such as large aircraft and helicopters, and work together with the aviation industry to establish an aviation new city with a complete industrial system and prominent focus on benefits.

This year's CIIE also held over 200 professional forums and business activities, including the 2023 China Helicopter Development Forum, the Tianjin Binhai New Area Aviation Industry Promotion Conference, the Tianjin Civil Aviation Industry Industry Industry Education Integration Forum, and the "Airport Helicopter Night" business exchange event. Among them, there are 10 key projects, including the joint construction of the aviation industry civil helicopter industry base project, the construction of the Hafei Tianjin civil helicopter research and development center project, and the joint construction of the helicopter collaborative innovation and industrialization platform project, involving multiple fields such as civil helicopter research and development and production, market-oriented operation of civil aircraft, and aviation maintenance. These projects are of great significance in strengthening Tianjin's civil aircraft research and development capabilities, enhancing Tianjin's aviation maintenance and support capabilities, and improving Tianjin's civil aviation industry chain.

The Tianjin Binhai New Area Advanced Manufacturing Vocational Skills Public Training Center, as the venue of the Aviation Industry Industry Industry Education Integration Development Forum and the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone Industry Education Integration Platform, has achieved school enterprise cooperation with enterprises such as Civil Aviation University of China, Beiyang College of Tianjin University, Siemens, and Aviation Electromechanical Engineering by constructing a trinity skill talent training system of "universities, enterprises, and training centers".
