The case was tested by the laboratories of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Liaoning Province and Shenyang City and rechecked by the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention

On June 29, a suspected case of Monkeypox virus infection was reported in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. The case was tested by the laboratories of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Liaoning Province and Shenyang City and rechecked by the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The laboratory test result was positive for Nucleic acid test of Monkeypox virus. After the consultation of the clinical expert group, it was diagnosed as a confirmed case of Monkeypox virus infection on July 3. The patient is currently undergoing isolation treatment at a designated medical institution and the condition is stable.
