On June 2nd, in order to further strengthen its online e-commerce business, IKEA's parent company Ingka Group recently announced the acquisition of Made4net, a US supply chain software service provider.Ingka Digital Director Wim Blaauw stated that with the rapid growth of IKEA's orders from the internet, it is necessary to invest in state-of-the-art technology to provide consumers with a better shopping experience

On June 2nd, in order to further strengthen its online e-commerce business, IKEA's parent company Ingka Group recently announced the acquisition of Made4net, a US supply chain software service provider.

Ingka Digital Director Wim Blaauw stated that with the rapid growth of IKEA's orders from the internet, it is necessary to invest in state-of-the-art technology to provide consumers with a better shopping experience. It is reported that 25% of Ingka's sales came from online sources last year, compared to 7% in 2020.

Ingka also stated that the acquisition of Made4net will assist Ingka's employees, who currently rely on warehouse records to locate inventory and quickly and accurately locate and ship products.
