The Jinan railway station of Inspur Information, the national tour exhibition of "Intelligent Computing to Open a New Bureau and Innovate the Machine", was opened. At the meeting, Inspur Information and the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "White Paper") jointly released the "Green Computing Power", which comprehensively explains the connotation and key technologies, policy background, necessity, standards and evaluation methods, development trends and suggestions of green computing power.

It is reported that this is the industry's first green computing power research report focused on servers, which will effectively promote the development of green energy-saving server design and related evaluation standards, and provide important reference for users to choose the optimal green computing power platform.

The White Paper clearly states that green computing power refers to evaluating the load and business output per unit of carbon emissions of a complete machine as the management object, that is, the computing power that a server can output per unit of carbon emissions. Its core is to measure the computational energy efficiency of the entire stack of computing systems, from components to the entire machine to upper level applications, testing the system architecture design, performance optimization, and innovative cooling and cooling capabilities of computing system manufacturers. It also allows end users to have a more scientific, accurate, and intuitive perception of carbon emissions and computing power output under the strong constraints of operational efficiency and national carbon emission policies, To select the optimal green computing power platform to achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions and increasing efficiency.

In order to accurately calculate server computing power and carbon emission levels, assist the computing power center in energy conservation and carbon reduction, and refer to international energy efficiency standards, Inspur Information and the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology have jointly constructed and released a green computing power evaluation system. The goal is to meet the requirements of low-carbon, green, PUE, and other requirements while meeting server performance requirements, and achieve the minimum particle size visible indicators of carbon emissions quantification.

It is reported that the green computing power evaluation system directly positions the low-carbon solution of digital computing to the server, starting from the cornerstone unit, focusing on the computing power and carbon emissions ratio of the product during its usage cycle, defining the computing power and carbon emissions evaluation plan of the server in various business scenarios, with characteristics such as accuracy, environmental protection, carbon reduction, reliability, and openness.

In response, Liu Jun, Senior Vice President of Inspur Information, stated, "The introduction of carbon emission evaluation standards can effectively guide server manufacturers to carry out high-quality design and optimization at the overall level, and scientifically calculate the corresponding green computing power level of servers, pointing the direction for green development of servers, and promoting the computing industry centered on servers to move towards an efficient, low-carbon, intensive, and circular green development path
