China News Agency, Beijing, June 2 (Reporter Ruan Yulin) - According to data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing on the 2nd, the China E-commerce Logistics Index in May was 109.5 points, an increase of 0.5 points from the previous month, achieving a fifth consecutive rise, reaching a new high since 2022.
Among the 9 sub indices, except for a decrease in inventory turnover index, the total business volume index, rural business volume index, actual load rate index, fulfillment rate index, personnel index, cost index, logistics efficiency index, and satisfaction index all increased.
In May, the total business volume index of e-commerce logistics was 120.4 points, an increase of 1.5 points compared to the previous month, and the total business volume of e-commerce logistics continued to grow. From a regional perspective, the eastern region has the largest increase, the central region is higher than the national average, and the western and northeastern regions have slightly declined.
In May, the rural e-commerce logistics business volume index was 125.1 points, an increase of 4.6 points compared to the previous month. During the same period, the logistics efficiency index recorded 101.6 points, an increase of 0.9 points compared to the previous month, achieving a continuous increase for 5 months. In May, the satisfaction rate index reached 99.1 points, an increase of 0.4 points compared to the previous month, achieving a consecutive four month rebound and reaching a new high since November 2021; The personnel index recorded 108.3 points, an increase of 0.4 points compared to the previous month, achieving two consecutive months of increase.
Analysis shows that in May, the e-commerce logistics index continued to rebound, and both supply and demand maintained stable growth. From the demand side, the total business volume of e-commerce logistics continues to grow, while the business volume of rural e-commerce logistics has significantly increased. The main indicators on the supply side continue to improve. The logistics efficiency index, satisfaction rate index, and fulfillment rate index have continuously rebounded. The inventory turnover index has fallen, mainly due to e-commerce logistics companies actively stocking and increasing inventory before peak season promotions. The increase in the real load rate index and personnel index has expanded compared to last month, with the real load rate index being the highest in the past five years.
Analysis shows that in the later stage, as the traditional e-commerce shopping festival approaches, the total business volume index of e-commerce logistics is expected to maintain a stable trend in June. (End)
