Huawei and Honor have turned heads, with executives facing each other from afar and screens causing controversy. Who do you support?

Impulsive Punishments. m4a7:54From Big Cousin Technology CollectionHonor was once a subsidiary brand of Huawei
Honor was once a subsidiary brand of Huawei. Although it has been independent for more than two years now, the two sides still maintain a good cooperative relationship, with many software and hardware technologies having similarities. However, there has been a subtle change in the relationship between the two parties now. The Honor 90 series has launched the world's first 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, claiming to achieve "zero risk" eye protection effect. Unexpectedly, the Huawei executives' retaliation should be called a "zero return" screen, which is meaningless. The two executives are fighting each other across the air. Who do you support more?
Firstly, let's take a look at the cause of the matter. The Honor 90 series has launched a 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming globally. Honor CEO Zhao Ming stated that this is a "zero risk" screen, which will not cause eye fatigue or cause visual damage at all. Honor was the first to introduce 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and now it is the first to popularize 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. We believe that in the future, Friends will follow Honor's pace to popularize this technology.
In an interview with the media, Zhao Ming also joked that 1440Hz is not considered a high-frequency PWM dimming at all, but just slightly better than Apple's 480Hz low-frequency PWM dimming. It should be noted that currently, only Huawei in the industry insists on 1440Hz frequency PWM dimming, as is the case with the Huawei Mate50 series and Huawei P60 series. This statement is clearly aimed at Huawei, so Huawei executives cannot sit still.
Bruce Lee, BGCTO (chief technology officer) of Huawei terminal, said that the benefit of pwm dimming with a frequency of more than 1440Hz to the eyes was zero, implying that the so-called "zero risk" screen was better called "zero benefit". Simultaneously forwarding a video by a blogger who popularizes the screen display effects of Huawei MateX3 and Huawei P60 series, the experience is actually no worse than Honor.
The blogger introduced in the video that there is actually no difference in 1440Hz, 1920Hz, and 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming in environments with ultra-low brightness of 10-15nit. Even if the industry achieves 7680Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming in the future, performance and promotion in low brightness are not related to that number. This is what Bruce Lee called "zero return". The effect of UHF pwm dimming on eyes has not been significantly improved, so UHF pwm dimming is just a gimmick.
Faced with Huawei's counterattack, Honor has also provided its own research findings, believing that ultra-high frequency PWM is not a gimmick. Honor has made significant research and development investment and will continue to attach importance to exploring eye health. Moreover, Zhao Ming also said that in the past, people paid more attention to screen accuracy, but now Honor leads people to pay more attention to eye comfort. This is a very big investment, because not only does it involve exploring hardware with screen manufacturers, but also investing in self-developed algorithms.
Who do you support more in the struggle between Honor and Huawei? Actually, since last year, Honor has been hoping to replace Huawei's position in the industry. In the past six months, Honor has mentioned that MagicOS7 has surpassed the Hongmeng system in some scenarios, and Honor Magic5 series is the benchmark for battery life and signal, surpassing Huawei Mate series. It even joked that consumers should "spend 5G on 5G phones (currently only Huawei is still promoting 4G high-end phones).
Dear friends, what do you think of Honor and Huawei's start of a "war of words"? If both sides really turn heads in terms of technology, who would you support more?#Digital enthusiasts#
