In 2021, Alibaba released the "Hot Land Plan", exploring public welfare assistance models for rural revitalization in three directions: industrial revitalization, talent revitalization, and technological revitalization.

It is worth mentioning that Alibaba has developed a unique rural revitalization commissioner system. Since 2019, Alibaba has successively dispatched 29 employees, stationed in rural areas for more than two years, to create development plans tailored to local conditions for rural revitalization.

At the forum, Sun Lijun told the story of chestnut in Qinglong County, Hebei Province. Previously, Qinglong County was rich in chestnuts, but they couldn't sell at a high price. Alibaba's rural special envoy visited Qinglong County and conducted in-depth investigations. Not only did they vigorously develop e-commerce in the local area, but they also collaborated with Hema to develop high value-added products. Through this series of measures, Qinglong's chestnut has upgraded from primary agricultural products to agricultural commodities and high-quality agricultural products, significantly reducing logistics costs, and increasing the number of local e-commerce enterprises from over 20 to over 500. The regional brand has sounded, and the people of Qinglong County are also proud. According to McKinsey's report data, in 2022, Alibaba helped Qinglong agricultural products create a social value increment of 281 million yuan in industrial revitalization.

The majority of left behind women in Qinglong County are local, and Alibaba's Rural Revitalization Commissioner has led all village women to try e-commerce live streaming. According to statistics, over the past year, Qinglong has conducted a total of 138 online and offline e-commerce training sessions, covering 4800 people, including 3300 women, directly driving more than 600 women to create employment, with an average monthly income of over 3000 yuan.

Faced with the problem of crop source "bottleneck", Alibaba has collaborated with the Crop Science Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to utilize cloud computing capabilities for crops such as rice and cotton. By detecting crop phenotype data, crop gene data, and environmental data, excellent genes are screened and traits are accurately predicted, thereby achieving the reproduction of excellent varieties.
