In 2003, Yang Liwei heard a "knock on the door" in space. 13 years later, the answer was revealed: Thanks to his calm

Many people have a dream of "running towards the sea of stars" when they were young. However, as they age, they gradually realize the gap between their dreams and reality and bury their childhood thoughts in their hearts.

However, there are indeed some outstanding and outstanding people who can truly realize their dream of flying into the sky, they are astronauts.
Astronauts, also known as astronauts, are a very rare profession. By 2013, only three countries in the world had Human spaceflight technology, namely Russia, the United States and China, and astronauts naturally concentrated in these three countries.
Representing the country in space is a very important honor for both individuals and the collective, so the selection of astronauts is also very demanding.
In terms of physical fitness, astronauts must be physically healthy, free from past illnesses and injuries, and undergo special selection to adapt to weightlessness and high radiation environments in space;
In terms of psychology, astronauts must be able to carry out missions resolutely and carefully, because every Human spaceflight mission costs a lot, astronauts need to complete many scientific experiments that must be carried out in space, and they must also endure the feeling of loneliness that staying in space for several months;

In terms of culture, it goes without saying that applicants with high educational requirements often need to have experience working in the military, which makes them more loyal and responsible to the country.
In China, the first generation of astronauts had a famous name: Yang Liwei. His resume can be said to be "sparkling": after graduating from high school, he was directly admitted to the Eighth Flight Academy of the Air Force with excellent physical fitness, and later served as a fighter pilot in the Air Force.
In 1996, he participated in the selection of astronauts, passed five passes and killed six generals, and finally became the first generation of astronauts. In 2003, he took the Shenzhou 5 spacecraft into space.
After successfully completing the Human spaceflight mission, he was promoted to the rank of Major General of the PLA, Deputy Director of the Spaceman Research and Training Center, and Deputy Commander in Chief of the Human spaceflight engineering astronaut system in the next few years.
In fact, don't think that he just went to space easily and reached the peak of his life when he came back. Yang Liwei also made a lot of efforts for this space mission:

After being selected as an astronaut, he quickly completed more than 10 high-tech courses such as Human spaceflight engineering foundation, aerospace medicine foundation, etc. within two years, and achieved excellent results in all examinations.
Within 5 years, he completed nearly 100 training tasks in 58 majors of 8 major categories and achieved excellent results in the assessment, ranking first in professional technology. Such a talent can be said to have been selected through arduous efforts from all over the country.
There was also an interesting episode in Yang Liwei's high-profile space mission: on October 15, 2003, when he entered space in a Human spaceflight, he suddenly heard a slight knock on the door.
At that time, he was the only person on board the entire spacecraft, so it was obvious that this sound could not have been made by other humans. Yang Liwei later described that the sound was like someone hitting the iron link with a wooden hammer, but who would make such a sound in the lonely and lonely universe? Could there really be aliens?

After hearing this strange voice, Yang Liwei was obviously nervous, but after years of training, he soon calmed down and began to listen carefully. After a period of time, he found that the sound was intermittent and irregular, unlike some kind of signal that was deliberately emitted.
After checking the various systems on the spaceship, Yang Liwei didn't understand how the sound was made. Finally, he decided to put the things he didn't understand behind him.
The Shenzhou 5 manned mission is the first Human spaceflight mission of New China, which aims to test the environment of the Human spaceflight mission, obtain relevant scientific data, and test the reliability of the spacecraft. Therefore, it did not stay in space for too long. After 14 circles in orbit, it returned to land more than 21 hours after takeoff.
Until the spaceship landed successfully at the main landing site in Inner Mongolia, Yang Liwei did not understand what the sound was.

After returning, Yang Liwei told the technicians about the incident, but the technicians did not find out the reason after several investigations. Until China launched several Human spaceflight spaceships later, many astronauts also heard the sound again and again.
After careful investigation and research, scientists finally discovered that the sound was emitted from the inner wall material of the spacecraft's cabin.
As is well known, many objects undergo deformation after temperature changes, and the material composition of spacecraft compartments is also extremely complex. Affected by the internal pressure and temperature of the spacecraft, these materials undergo slight deformation and produce sound. In fact, these deformations have no effect on the performance of the spacecraft.
Before astronauts enter the sky, they must undergo special psychological training to test whether they can tolerate the narrow space in manned spacecraft and the sense of loneliness generated when performing tasks alone, as well as whether they can restrain their emotional changes when facing high tension and pressure, and continue to complete tasks calmly and rationally.

Yang Liwei's incident in heaven also shows the importance of these assessments. The universe is mysterious and vast, with many secrets waiting for humanity to explore. I believe that in the future, people will continue to explore the starry sky and interpret the mysteries hidden in the vast universe.
