If Russia opens the Far East Port, it is better to build bridges and replace land, and thoroughly open the Tumen River sea passage

This is Hunchun City in Jilin Province. On the left side of Hunchun is Russia, on the right side is North Korea, and 15 kilometers down the Tumen River is the Sea of Japan. It is this short distance of 15 kilometers that has completely reduced the two provinces of Heilongjiang and Jilin into inland provinces, greatly limiting the development of Northeast China.
If the Tumen River can be opened to the sea, it will not only solve the trade problem in Northeast China, but also enable China to harvest several new sea routes and significantly reduce land transportation costs.
Then why can't the Tumen River go to sea?
From the map, we can see that the land we lost before is not only the south of Tumen River, but the whole Outer Manchuria.
However, before the 1950s, although the Tumen River had become the boundary river between Russia and North Korea, China could still reach the Sea of Japan through the Tumen River. This sea port once became the focus of the development of Northeast China. Every year, thousands of merchant ships sail into the Sea of Japan through the Tumen River, and Hunchun has also been developing rapidly.
However, since the Soviet Union built a Russian Korean railway bridge on the Tumen River for the purpose of transporting materials, it completely blocked our access to the sea through the Tumen River.
The bridge across the Tumen River seems nothing special from the map, but it is actually a lock on the Tumen River. The length of the bridge is about 530 meters, and the distance from the bottom of the bridge to the water level is only about 9 meters. In addition, although this bridge is an 8-hole steel frame bridge, only 3 holes can be used for passage. That is to say, ships can indeed pass under the bridge, but they can only pass through some smaller fishing boats. Later, due to various reasons, even fishing boats were banned from passing.
So, we can only go to sea through other means, such as borrowing a port. Ports such as Rozin Port in North Korea and Zarubino Port in Russia were borrowed as early as the 1990s. However, the borrowed port is experiencing problems every two days, and the goods transported there are often unable to go to sea due to various reasons. And we only have the right to use these ports, without the right to develop them. Anything unrelated to the transportation of goods is explicitly prohibited.
As for Vladivostok and Sakhalin and other places that Russia has just opened to us, if they were placed in the past, it would undoubtedly be of great significance to the revitalization of the Northeast to rent such high-quality ice free ports. But since seeing the various restrictions imposed by Russia and North Korea on leasing ports, the borrowed ports have become less popular.
It can be seen that Russia has completely fallen out with its neighbors to the west and now plans to solve its economic problems through the Far East.
It's just that the vast Far East is not something that can develop if one wants to.

However, there is not a decent modern city in the entire Far East region, let alone any industries that can be developed. It is not easy to develop this area solely relying on these 5 million people. So I thought of opening up high-quality ports to seek cooperation with China.
However, this so-called openness is just a bit less restrictive than before. After all, they are all the places they snatched before, and now they want to lend them to us, so they still feel a bit uneasy. Besides, both Vladivostok and Sakhalin Island are far away from northeast China. If we can only do cargo transfer, there is no need to go that far.
