He also said that up to now, Huawei has signed nearly 200 bilateral license agreements, and more than 350 companies have obtained Huawei's patent licenses through the Patent pool. The patent licensing fee paid by Huawei in its history is about three times the licensing revenue.

At this forum, Huawei also announced the patent licensing rates for its 4G and 5G mobile phones, Wi Fi 6 devices, and IoT products. For 4G and 5G mobile phones, Huawei sets a license fee limit of $1.5 and $2.5 per unit, respectively; For Wi Fi 6 consumer devices, the license rate is $0.5 per device; For IoT devices, the license rate is 1% of the net selling price, with a maximum rate of $0.75 per unit; And for devices that enhance connectivity through the Internet of Things, the license fee is $0.3- $1 per device.

According to Huawei's official introduction, in the past decade, Huawei has invested a total of 977.3 billion yuan in research and development expenses. In 2022, Huawei's research and development expenses amounted to RMB 161.5 billion, accounting for 25.1% of the annual revenue. Huawei ranked 4th on the 2022 EU Industrial R&D Investment Ranking.
