There are many ships entering and exiting the Bohai Sea, and if a cross sea bridge is built here, it will inevitably affect the navigation of ships.

Also, let's make a comparison. The famous Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge is 55 kilometers long and took 8 years to complete.Compared to the 150 kilometer long Bohai Strait Cross Sea Bridge project, the workload is even greater.

At the same time, the geological conditions and weather in the Bohai Strait will also have an impact on the construction of the bridge.The average depth of the Bohai Strait is 26 meters, with the deepest point reaching 83 meters. Not to mention building bridges, even the piers are difficult to insert into the seabed.

Moreover, the Bohai Strait belongs to a warm temperate monsoon climate, with year-round strong winds and winter storms, which further increase the difficulty of construction. In addition, it happens to be located in the seismic zone, which poses certain risks for later navigation.

Finally, we have to raise the cost.In fact, after considering the various difficulties mentioned above, if you still want to persevere in construction, the cost of overcoming them will definitely not be low.

The construction cost of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge exceeded 100 billion yuan, making this project three times more difficult than the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge. Without considering other factors, the construction cost will be at least 300 billion yuan, and how long will it take to recoup the cost.

At present, the most popular way of transportation between the two places is by railway ferry.It runs through the Bohai Strait with a sea transportation distance of 159.8 kilometers and is an important component of the land sea railway corridor from Northeast China to the Yangtze River Delta region.

At 9:55 pm on August 7, 2006, the first vessel of the Yantai Ferry, China Railway Bohai 1, set sail from Dalian and arrived in Yantai at 16:28 pm. This ferry is divided into two decks, upper and lower, gathering trains, cars, and passengers. The upper deck is a car deck and the lower deck is a train deck, with a total length of 182.6 meters. It can withstand strong winds of level 8 and is also a very rare type of ship.

In addition to the Bohai No.1 ferry, a second ferry, the Bohai Jinzhu, has also been launched. This ferry is 161.2 meters long, capable of carrying over 1200 passengers and over 200 vehicles. Interested friends, may as well experience the feeling of crossing the sea together with the train.
