The exhibition covers an area of over 5000 square meters and has attracted more than 60 enterprises related to the entire wool textile industry chain to participate. The exhibits include all categories of wool textile industry, including sweaters, woolen fabrics, yarns, surface accessories, equipment, etc. At the same time, the activity launched the Shantou E-commerce "Ten Million Project" to empower the development of the local woolen textile industry with e-commerce.

E-commerce "Billion Project" Helps the Development of Towns and Streets

After more than 40 years of continuous development, the woolen textile industry has become a pillar industry in Waisha Street. More than 2000 woolen textile enterprises are rooted in Waisha, and nearly half of the people in Waisha are engaged in woolen textile related industries. The woolen textile industry chain is complete and solid, and the quality of woolen product craftsmanship is outstanding. In recent years, many local woolen textile enterprises have taken advantage of cross-border e-commerce to achieve large-scale development. 65% of the world's well-known cross-border e-commerce platform Xiyin's woolen fabric orders are in Waisha Street, and Temu, a cross-border e-commerce platform under the Fortune 500 Pinduoduo, also comes to Waisha Street to hold a business matchmaking meeting. The opening ceremony held the unveiling ceremony of the Waisha Cross border E-commerce Industrial Park, Shantou Unicom Cross border E-commerce Innovation Demonstration Base, Waisha Chaozhi Town Doctor Station, and the Waisha Contact Point of the Cross border E-commerce Platform. Waisha Street signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement with China Unicom Shantou Branch, and Chenghai Rural Commercial Bank signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Financial Support for the Development of the Textile Industry with the Chaozhou Textile Industry Association in Longhu District, Shantou City.

In order to deepen the implementation of the "High Quality Development Project for Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns, and Ten Thousand Villages", the Shantou Municipal Bureau of Commerce has launched the Shantou E-commerce "Million and Ten Million Project" on site. According to the introduction, "100" refers to a hundred doctors, "1000" refers to a thousand e-commerce service institutions, and "10000" refers to ten thousand industrial farmers. Among them, building an e-commerce town and an e-commerce service group are two important aspects of Shantou's e-commerce "million dollar project".

The awarding ceremony of the Shantou E-commerce "Million and Ten Million Project" was held on-site, and representatives of the doctoral service team, e-commerce service team, and wool industry team took the stage to receive the flag. Zhang Nan, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Shantou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, stated that the e-commerce service team will fully leverage the strengths of doctoral talents, Fortune 500 enterprises, e-commerce service institutions, financial service institutions, and other parties to cooperate and build with local farmers, fill the gaps in the development of the e-commerce industry, and assist in rural revitalization.

The reporter learned from Waisha Street that the exhibition will last for three days, with over 60 companies and 12 platforms reaching cooperation intentions on the first day, totaling about 360 times.
