New research shows that the moon collided with Earth from Mars

The term 'Mars colliding with Earth' is often used to describe a 'very shocking event'. On November 1, the US "Space" website said that a joint research team composed of the California Institute of Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory and other institutions used computer simulation results to show that billions of years ago, an early planet in the solar system with a size similar to Mars collided with the original Earth
The term 'Mars colliding with Earth' is often used to describe a 'very shocking event'. On November 1, the US "Space" website said that a joint research team composed of the California Institute of Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory and other institutions used computer simulation results to show that billions of years ago, an early planet in the solar system with a size similar to Mars collided with the original Earth. "This violent collision helped create the moon, while leaving continent sized debris near the Earth's core".
The report states that the relevant research papers have been published in the journal Nature. One widely accepted explanation for the origin of the moon is the "collision hypothesis", which means that after a collision between an ancient planet - "Theia" and the primitive Earth, debris splashed into space gradually condenses into the moon. However, direct evidence for the existence of "Theia" is very vague. The latest research shows that this massive impact may have buried some of the remains of "Theia" deep in the mantle near the Earth's core.
Previous studies have found that there are two "continental sized" rock structures stretching thousands of kilometers in the lower mantle, approximately 2900 kilometers below the Earth's surface. Seismic waves inside the Earth propagate abnormally slowly in this rock structure, indicating that they are denser and have different compositions than the surrounding mantle. Researchers suggest that this high-density material may be the remains of 'Theia', which remained deep on Earth after a major impact that formed the moon. The research team's computer simulation shows that the density of rocks from "Theia" is 2% to 3.5% higher than that of the Earth's mantle, with higher iron content. "Their chemical properties may be similar to lunar volcanic rocks.
The report states that these findings will improve people's understanding of the formation of the Earth and moon. This huge impact has had a lasting impact on the entire evolution of Earth, which can be used to explain why Earth is geologically unique compared to other rocky planets
