To uncover the truth, Zhengguan News reporters contacted both Apple and Tencent's official customer service for verification. Apple's official customer service confirmed that WeChat is a widely used app among their customers and that the iPhone's new models would not revoke the app privileges of existing users. "We haven't received any official notification regarding iPhone 16 not supporting WeChat."

Tencent's official customer service also stated, "We have not received any such news."
