The biggest news in the chip industry today may have been the dissolution of OPPO's chip company, Zheku Technology, on the spot. About 3000 people immediately lost their spots and exploded in social media and various groups.
Faced with the uncertainty of the global economy and mobile phone market, after careful consideration, the company has decided to terminate the ZEKU business. This is a difficult decision, and we will handle the relevant matters properly and continue to do our best to create value for our products.
Details of compensation plan
Let's first talk about the details of the compensation plan: N+3, China region, annual monthly salary, bonus should receive other income, all totaling/12, without a maximum of 3 times the deduction limit. Start signing the compensation agreement on May 19th, and the payment of compensation will be completed within 5 working days after signing. All salary for May will be settled on a monthly basis, and the social security and provident fund for May will be paid.
Based on our years of experience in various well-known foreign companies and major domestic internet companies, this compensation plan should be considered quite conscientious. There are not many domestic enterprises that can achieve this. Large foreign companies don't need to mention it, they all started with N+5/6/7. For example, in 2006, Intel sold its mobile phone department to Meiman Electronics, and both sides were generous. I won't mention it here.
Another key aspect of Zheku's compensation plan isNo triple upper limit buckleWhat does this mean? If you made a total of 1.2 million yuan last year, then sharing it evenly for 12 months would be 100000 yuan, while what was the average salary in Shanghai last year? I don't bother to check, but the difference is estimated to be around 12000 yuan. If it were capped at three times, it would be over 30000 yuan.
You should know that the salary in the chip industry is much higher than the average salary in Shanghai. If I joined Zheku last year and it takes one year and seven months today, then N=2, N+3=5,5x10=500000. That is to say, the compensation is 500000 yuan, and of course, a small amount of tax needs to be paid (there is an exemption limit, please check online if you are interested). Although the pit is gone, the money has also been paid in place. After all, the company is not a welfare home, and it is really good to be able to do this. Furthermore, those who are making chips these days, as long as they have real skills, they won't have any problems today, but they may go to work elsewhere tomorrow. So for the employees inside, sometimes it's hard to say whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. I don't even know whether to say congratulations or mourning to the brothers insideFinally, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the following person:
Current situation of semiconductor companies
I will only talk about the fields I am familiar with, and what I want to talk about is arm64 chips. Everyone knows that the US Emperor's suppression of China's technology has reached a level of insanity. We are a great country, how can we accept this cowardly atmosphere? So, in the field of chips, we began to usher in the era of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. That guy is full of drums, gongs, and firecrackers. If you don't put a few chips in your bag, you won't be able to say hello to people. Usually, when you're squatting in the restroom, you often hear phone calls like this: Lao Luo, has your black pine ball chip been streamed? Alright, give me a dozen...
When it comes to chips, the most common ones are divided into mobile phone chips and the so-called general-purpose chip CPUs that you usually use to play with computers. The most representative ones are Intel and AMD. In addition, server chips have little to do with our common people's daily lives (which should be out of reach), so let's not talk about them.
Are there many manufacturers of arm64 chips in China? Many. Have you made a lot of it? Not much. Let's start by listing one by one (please forgive my poor typography knowledge):
The first player to shine on the stage is our greatest player: Huawei Hiss. It is an indisputable fact that Haisi said second, and no one dares to say first. Of course, the internal process is also quite difficult and bumpy, just like any exciting stage performance, we can see the shining one minute, but the off stage effort can only be relied on by everyone to think.
Of course, Hisense did poorly in its early days, but just like any successful chip has a great helmsman behind it, Hisense relies on Huawei, which is commonly referred to as Chrysanthemum Factory. Looking at the revised logo below, it seems that you can still vaguely see the remnants of the original chrysanthemum:
Haisi started with mobile phone chips and gradually developed them, followed by the later famous Kirin chip. The story here is already familiar to everyone. What we are going to talk about today is the server chip of HiSilicon. On the other hand, it is the even more famous Kunpeng arm64 server chip. There was a touching and poignant folk story about the naming of this chip, which was recorded in "Zhuangzi: Xiaoyao You", There is a fish in the North Sea, and its name is Kun. Kun is so large that it is unknown for thousands of miles. When it transforms into a bird, its name is Peng. The back of the bird is unknown for thousands of miles; when it flies in anger, its wings are like clouds hanging in the sky. It is a bird, and if it is transported by sea, it will migrate to the South Sea. If it is in the South Sea, it will be in the Tianchi Lake. Note that my citation here is not simply a book hanging bag, but rather to emphasize the symbolic significance behind this chip, until it is mercilessly stifled by the US Emperor. Alas~
Due to the relationship between fate and opportunity, we had a beautiful intersection with Huawei Hisense. Haisi should be one of the few companies in China that was the earliest to produce arm64 server chips. If detailed, this can be traced back to 2014 or even earlier. At that time, some companies had already started trying to use arm64 as server chips one after another, and if we wanted to expand on this, we would have to start a new chapter. In short, the companies that were established in the early days have basically become the vanguard, being shot dead on the beach, or else struggling to survive. In short, life is not very easy, of course, there are many reasons, and ecology is one of them.
The early Kunpeng of Hisense was also not ideal, and they used the public version of arm. They used this chip as a server. You guessed it, it was called Mount Taishan.
In the early days of Mount Taishan, there were many problems. Since many students did not know much about technology, we will not discuss the details. However, if you are working on software or frequently chatting with internet classmates, you should know a term called iteration. Yes, after several iterations in the later stage, by 2021, Kunpeng and Mount Taishan will have become more and more popular, becoming an insurmountable mountain in the field of domestic arm64 server chips. It is said that when Ali Pingtou made arm64 server chips, the internal benchmark was Heisi Kunpeng.
Secondly, it is Feiteng. For many students, Feiteng's reputation in the martial arts world is not as thunderous as Haisi's, but if you respond with an attitude of belittling the enemy, it would be a big mistake. As early as 2015, Feiteng showcased some architectural details of the Mars processor at the Hotchips-27 conference in Silicon Valley, with PPT being the main focus at that time. Nowadays, Feiteng has become a leading arm64 server chip manufacturer in China, with its main customers being state-owned enterprises and government agencies. Unfortunately, I don't have much contact with Feiteng and can't write many jokes. Unfortunately.
The last player to shine on the stage is, yes, Ali's flathead brother. Most of the early people and horses of Pingtou Brother came from Hangzhou Zhongtianwei, so we won't expand. If you are in the circle, you will definitely find me too verbose. In his early days, Ping Tou Ge mainly made small chips, such as Zhongtian Micro, which mainly used RISC-V to make small fuss. It wasn't until he was later acquired by Alibaba and 40 thieves that the guy immediately changed his guns and quickly started thinking about big chips. This is actually not difficult to understand, after all, the size of Alibaba Cloud data centers is there, and they didn't originally plan to sell chips to the public. The so-called big chip here is arm64.
The earliest decision at that time was a proposal made by Alibaba's partner meeting, with a jacket horse making the decision (at that time, the old horse was actually about to retire, but still a spiritual leader, and it was up to the leader to make such a big decision). Xiaoyaozi seconded the proposal, so this matter was decided.
It should be said that Brother Ping Tou is lucky, as due to the US Emperor, a large number of Haisi talents have been displaced. It is not an exaggeration to say that Haisi is the Huangpu Military Academy of Chinese semiconductor talents. At the critical moment of autumn, Brother Ping Tou appeared and shouted loudly, 'Climb out, I will give you freedom.'. So the next thing became natural. Emperor Meidi, Huawei MeiResearch Institute, and many high-ranking individuals entered under the command of Brother Pingtou under the guise of anonymity. Later on, there was the famous Yitian 710 chip, which was officially announced by Xingdian at the 2021 Yunqi Conference.
The article is too long and I plan to end it in a scribble...
Later on, due to the success stories mentioned earlier, which were the so-called China trip, I also followed the same routine. As for the results, I also put on a picture. Today's group, I think it's just too vivid:
Rebuttal Speech
Although I am far from the point, I still want to express my thoughts. I know there are many companies doing big chips now, but there are only a few that I really value. Chips are definitely something that needs to be smashed with money. Sometimes even with money, they may not be able to be smashed, because what is most expensive in the 21st century: talent. The reason why Brother Pingtou was able to build Yitian 710 by building blocks is that, as I mentioned earlier, Haisi's talent empowerment is indispensable, otherwise it would definitely not have been possible to achieve it in about two years. The money behind it is Ali, and the chip is definitely a money burning thing. For example, early logic simulation usually depends on FPGA. In this respect, if you buy a Synopsis simulation platform, you can only bury your head in it without tens of millions of people. Because the speed of software simulation is really slow, forget it. If you have more experience in this field, you may hit someone.
Xiaomi, Lenovo, Baidu, Kunlun, Universe Bar, and various companies that I can't name. Good luck and go public soon!
