On December 6, 2024, at the 2024 iKang Zhihui Kangyun Conference, Zhang Ligang, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of iKang Group, unveiled the IaaS2024 plan and launched the iKang Zhihui Kangyun IaaS Open Platform (IaaS: Innovation/Infrastructure as a Service). This platform, centered around the iKangCloud+ and iKangOS+ systems, comprehensively opens up iKang Group's advanced technologies and systems in artificial intelligence, genetic testing, specialized examinations, examination systems, queuing systems, reporting systems, data platforms, and health management to third-party examination centers and medical institutions. The goal is to build an open and shared ecosystem for the health management industry.

Mr. Zhang Ligang emphasized the unstoppable trend of medical AI and digitalization. He stated that the health examination industry must actively embrace artificial intelligence, genetic testing, and medical big data to achieve sustainable development. As a pioneer in preventive medicine, iKang Group will share its smart healthcare achievements through the iKang Zhihui Kangyun IaaS Open Platform, collaborating with industry partners to build a new ecosystem and benefit more customers. The conference also saw the official launch of the IaaS2024 alliance plan, with an intention-signing ceremony with initial partners, marking a significant step in its open cooperation strategy.

In the digitally interconnected era, the rapid development of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and big data is profoundly reshaping the health management industry. Building a new industry ecosystem has become a core issue for future development. Wang Zhanshan, Standing Committee Member and Secretary-General of the Health Management Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Secretary-General of the National Prevention and Control of Major Chronic Diseases Innovation and Integration Pilot Project Management Committee, and Secretary-General of the High-Quality Workplace Health Management Pilot Program Committee, commented that the "Zhihui Kangyun Open Platform" jointly launched by iKang Group and others is groundbreaking. It will bring significant benefits to numerous small and medium-sized examination centers, enabling them to share advanced testing technologies, intelligent service systems, and business training resources, thus achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Mr. Wang also emphasized that this platform actively practices the innovative model of transitioning from physical examinations to health management, pushing the shift from treatment-centered to health-centered approaches. This has a positive promoting and guiding effect on the future development of health management, making an encouraging contribution to the construction of a "Healthy China."

Addressing the blind spot of musculoskeletal issues in health screenings, iKang Group pioneered the integration of AI-based lower limb joint health assessments into its health examination programs in 2023. Dr. Liu Xingyu, Co-founder and General Manager of Beijing Changmugugu Medical Technology Co., Ltd., shared experiences on empowering orthopedics with AI technology at the conference. He noted that AI technology can learn from the clinical experience of top physicians to achieve accurate screening and intelligent assessment of osteoarthritis. The collaboration between Changmugugu and iKang Group has created an integrated platform covering prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, achieving high-quality management of bone health throughout its lifecycle.

Since its establishment, iKang Group has adhered to the mission of "driving the transformation of health and medical service models with innovative technology," possessing a strong internet gene. As early as 2017, iKang Group strategically upgraded its services to "managed care," transforming physical examinations into comprehensive health management services. In 2018, to address the shortcomings of conventional examinations in major disease screening, iKang Group launched the iKangAI+ plan. Over six years, iKang Group has launched more than ten AI products covering ophthalmology, mammography, cardiology, cerebrovascular, dentistry, and orthopedics, building a sizable "iKang AI matrix" and providing AI and genetic testing services to tens of millions of people.

In 2021, iKang Group completed its medical cloud deployment, establishing China's first cloud platform with tens of millions of users in the health examination industry, accumulating approximately 70 million health examination data points. Before this, iKang Group conducted image reading in 154 examination, dental, and medical centers across 59 cities nationwide. After migrating to the cloud, it consolidated these to 16 centralized reading centers across 57 cities. Currently, X-ray images, CT scans, MRI images, and ECG data taken at iKang Group's examination centers are uploaded to the cloud in real-time. AI software deployed on the cloud performs initial screening and classification. This enables real-time viewing of examination results, improves accuracy through AI image reading, and enables intelligent prediction of health risks, helping doctors make more effective diagnoses. These capabilities will be shared with third-party examination centers and medical institutions through the iKang Zhihui Kangyun IaaS Open Platform.

The iKang Zhihui Kangyun IaaS Open Platform comprises two major systems: the intelligent medical product open platform iKangCloud+ and the business operating system open platform iKangOS+. iKangCloud+ will provide third-party examination centers and medical institutions with iKang Group's AI, genetic testing, proteomics, and innovative testing products. iKangOS+ will comprehensively open up examination systems, guidance systems, laboratory information systems (LIS), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), data analysis, reporting systems, and health management systems, empowering third-party examination centers and medical institutions. Furthermore, iKang Group's first AI health butler, ikkie, will also be launched on the iKang Zhihui Kangyun IaaS Open Platform. Gao Jianxiong, Vice President of iKang Group's Digital Innovation Center, demonstrated ikkie's application in the entire health examination scenario. Powered by RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) enhanced search and generation technologies, ikkie's services cover the pre-examination, examination, and post-examination stages, providing customers with a real-time, intelligent, accurate, and connected experience. Over the past year, ikkie has served over 570,000 customers, answering over 1.9 million questions.

Supported by iKang Group's robust and stable technology, the iKang Zhihui Kangyun IaaS Open Platform demonstrates five key features: Secure, High-Performance, Accessible, Real-time, and Extensive (SHARE). To rigorously protect the business interests of third-party examination centers and medical institutions and the personal privacy of their clients, Luo Yuan, iKang Group's Vice President of Technology, stated that the data on the iKang Zhihui Kangyun IaaS Open Platform is completely isolated from iKang Group's internal systems, requiring no upload of sensitive customer identification information. Key data is encrypted and stored, data transmission utilizes national cryptographic algorithms, image data is physically deleted, and enterprise data is logically isolated to ensure data security and privacy protection.
