During this period, the focus of global attention has gradually shifted from the COVID-19 epidemic to international issues in other fields, especially in the political and scientific fields.
At present, the economic issues of the United States and the transformation of international relations between China and the United States are both hot topics of concern to countries around the world.
As is well known, it has been a long time since the US began imposing sanctions on our chips.
Until now, the United States still has no intention of stopping. Biden knew that this approach would have an impact on the development of relevant domestic enterprises, but he still chose to act alone and vowed to achieve political suppression.
Against this backdrop, the vast majority of Chinese enterprises have been impacted. Especially Huawei, the representative of China's high-tech enterprises, has not been very optimistic in recent years and often faces the problem of chip shortages.
So, after TSMC chooses to go to the United States,Why does SMIC still comply with US laws and cannot supply to China
Under the technology sanctions imposed by the United States, many domestic technology companies are worried that they will face a dilemma similar to Huawei's. After all, everyone is not Huawei, with neither a solid talent reserve nor a strong leadership team.
To survive in such an environment, there must be corresponding self-protection measures.
The development of semiconductors in China is still in its early stages, and it is unrealistic to completely cut off the connection with foreign advanced technologies.
We need to take an independent and autonomous path, but in the process, we still need to be flexible and not become stubborn and stuffy flies. We only know how to wander around.
The rise of SMIC International is the result of our joint efforts, and objectively, we should also pay attention to the support of advanced semiconductor technology from the United States. Without advanced technology from the US, SMIC's growth would be slower than we imagined.
However, according to the requirements and regulations of the US, enterprises that use the US core technology cannot have deep cooperation with Huawei.
Although SMIC and Huawei are both semiconductor companies in China, the former cannot provide more technical support for the latter.
Once the two reach a deep level of cooperation, SMIC may face the same fate as Huawei and fall into the dilemma of being sanctioned.
From this perspective, SMIC International's approach is not about falling into the trap or being a white eyed wolf who worships foreign things, but about preserving itself.
Only when one is strong enough can one make greater contributions to the development of the national semiconductor industry.
Compared to Huawei, which is struggling to survive and isolated, SMIC's current situation is not optimistic
There is an old saying in our country that goes: when a person is under the eaves, they have to bow their head. The situation of SMIC International is generally the same.
Fortunately, after years of development, the company has made significant progress in semiconductor production and manufacturing, and has basically achieved quantitative production of 28nm and 14nm chips.
Although there is still a significant gap compared to industry giant TSMC, this is already sufficient for the current semiconductor market.
The development of any industry is not achieved overnight. Local semiconductor companies such as SMIC International can achieve breakthroughs from scratch in just a few years, which is already an extremely successful thing.
Compared to other developed countries in the world, our semiconductor industry is still in a relatively backward state, but we believe that with the joint efforts of everyone, the situation will definitely be greatly improved.
Both SMIC and Huawei have seen significant growth and progress now. Local technology enterprises are developing towards a more independent and independent direction, jointly supporting the development of China's semiconductor industry.
Although the competition in the global semiconductor market is still fierce, we are not afraid of external shocks at all.
As the world's largest semiconductor terminal market, we have a huge demand every year. Previously, domestic demand was solved through imports, but now it has to some extent achieved self-sufficiency.
At present, in order to further promote the development of the semiconductor industry, we have launched close cooperation between universities, enterprises, and relevant departments, in order to better promote the development of the local semiconductor industry.
Overall,SMIC International, like Huawei, is a technology enterprise that strives to contribute to the development of the national semiconductor industry.
The development paths chosen by the two are different, but they share the same goal. Both are the pride of the nation and the country, and will become the backbone of China's semiconductor industry development in the future.
At present, the United States still has not stopped the idea of imposing technology sanctions on our country, and we have completely abandoned unrealistic illusions.
Next, we will allocate more energy and resources to develop the semiconductor industry, in order to catch up with the international advanced level as soon as possible and gradually grow into a chip power.
