Clothing, furniture, and household appliances were once referred to as the "old three" of China's foreign trade exports. According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in the first quarter of 2023, the export performance of new advantageous products in the manufacturing industry was impressive, with a total export growth of 66.9% for electric passenger cars, lithium batteries, and solar cells, with a year-on-year increase of over 100 billion yuan, driving up the overall export growth rate by 2 percentage points. According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the export of new energy vehicles in the first four months of 2023 was 348000, a year-on-year increase of 1.7 times, exceeding half of the total export of 679000 vehicles in 2022; Among them, exports increased by 8.4 times year-on-year in April. At present, the sales of new energy vehicles in China cover six continents worldwide.

New energy vehicles undoubtedly play a crucial role in it, providing a rare opportunity for China to change lanes and catch up. In the development of China's new energy vehicle industry, we have significant advantages in some areas, such as power batteries. However, we should also be aware that there are still obvious shortcomings in some areas, such as operating systems and automotive chips, which are the core of building an intelligent electric vehicle industry ecosystem. Only by further increasing innovation efforts, strengthening research and development investment, and filling the gaps in the industrial and supply chains as soon as possible, can we consolidate and expand our development advantages and make China's new energy vehicles more popular overseas.
The continuous expansion of China's overseas territory for new energy vehicles also relies on support from policies and logistics. When China's automobile enterprises enter the overseas market, they will face many challenges such as cultural and legal differences, Foreign exchange risk, and changes in international relations. This forces relevant car companies not only to delve into new markets, but also to accelerate the construction of overseas marketing and after-sales service networks, and effectively safeguard data security and personal privacy. At the same time, vehicle companies, power battery companies, and accessory companies should also pay attention to integrating resources, forming a group to "go overseas", and jointly building a localized supply chain overseas.
