On June 9th, according to data compiled by Forbes Korea, Alibaba's AliExpress (AliExpress) has expanded its Korean users by over 150% in three years, reaching 2.9 million users as of April this year.

Forbes reports that AliExpress has a significant influence among male consumers in their 30s and 40s, accounting for 14% and 17.2% of their customer base, respectively. The report points out that the proportion of male users of AliExpress is 1.6% higher than that of female users, and female users dominate the consumer group of local e-commerce platforms in South Korea, such as Coupang and 11th Street.

AliExpress recently chose actor Ma Dongxi, known for his tough guy roles and action movies, as its spokesperson and further expanded in South Korea.

Previously, South Korean media reported that AliExpress had longer user hours and more downloads than local Korean giant Coupang.
