20 years ago today, on October 15, 2003, Yang Liwei boarded the Shenzhou-5 manned spacecraft and successfully launched a space mission, becoming the first Chinese astronaut to visit space.
Over the past 20 years, from manned spacecraft to space stations, China's aerospace industry has written new legends time and time again. As planned,Shenzhou 17 spacecraftThis month, it will be launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and docked with the forward port of the core module of the China Space Station, forming a three module three ship combination to continue conducting space science and technology experiments.
The footsteps of China's manned flight go beyond this, and will continue to extend into deep space. At present, the lunar landing phase of China's manned lunar exploration project has been launched and implemented,The plan is to achieve the first Chinese landing on the moon before 2030.
Yang Liwei, Deputy Chief Designer of China's Manned Space Engineering, stated that astronauts are currently preparing for the lunar landing mission,Lunar astronauts will be selected from those who have previously performed flight missions. He also said that landing on the moon is not the ultimate goal, and in the future, we will go to more profound space exploration.
On July 12th this year, Zhang Hailian, Deputy Chief Engineer of the China Manned Space Engineering Office, introduced that currently,The preliminary plan for China's manned lunar landing is:
Two carrier rockets are used to transport the lunar lander and manned spacecraft to the Earth Moon transfer orbit. The spacecraft and lander intersect and dock in the lunar orbit, and astronauts enter the lunar lander from the spacecraft.
Afterwards, the lunar lander will descend and land in the designated area on the lunar surface,Astronauts landed on the moon to conduct scientific investigations and sample collection.
After completing the established mission, astronauts will ascend to the lunar orbit on the lander and rendezvous with the spacecraft, and return to Earth with samples on the spacecraft.
To complete this task, Chinese researchers are developing equipment such as the Long March 10 carrier rocket, a new generation of manned spacecraft, a lunar lander, a lunar landing suit, and a manned lunar rover.
