GUIYANG, China, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- The 2024 China International Big Data Industry Expo concluded successfully on August 30. Hosted by the State Administration of Data, and co-hosted by the People's Government of Guizhou Province, this year's expo followed the theme "Digital Empowerment, Industrial Upgrading," focusing on the latest industry development trends and cutting-edge technological advancements while building a professional and open platform for international exchange and collaboration.

This year's expo was dominated by businesses, with over 3,000 companies participating, a new historical high. More than 60% of the events were led or participated in by businesses, showcasing their crucial role in driving the development of the big data industry. During the expo, a total of 93 exchange events were held, attracting 21,600 registered attendees. 154 data research and technological achievements were unveiled, injecting new vitality into the global big data industry.

Wang Xudong, Director of the Comprehensive Department of the State Administration of Data, stated that the expo successfully established a professional and open international exchange and cooperation platform, contributing to the advancement of the global big data industry. He emphasized that the country will continue to promote the high-quality development of the big data industry, foster the construction of a data element market, and provide solid support for the development of the digital economy.

Jing Yaping, Director of the Guizhou Provincial Big Data Development Administration and Executive Committee Director of the 2024 Big Data Expo, introduced that the expo carefully organized multiple supply and demand meetings, including the "High-Quality Development of Digital Economy Supply and Demand Matching Meeting" and the "Precision Investment Promotion Meeting for the Optoelectronic Industry." The event released 122 scenario demands and 100 big data industry investment promotion projects, aiming to attract 830 billion yuan in investment. Nearly 150 companies participated in the matching meetings, with a number of projects entering into agreements on site, and several companies reaching cooperative agreements at the event.

The 2024 Big Data Expo was not only an industry gathering but also a significant platform for driving the development of the big data industry, promoting technological innovation, and leading the high-quality development of the digital economy. Through a series of events and achievement releases, the expo provided new ideas and directions for the development of the global big data industry while injecting new momentum into the development of the big data industry in Guizhou Province.
