As the 2024 Double 11 shopping festival concluded after nearly a month of intense promotions, this annual consumer extravaganza once again showcased the strong market vitality and consumption potential of China. On November 12, Meiwang, the company behind Li Jiaqi's livestream, revealed that this year's Double 11 saw nearly 1,700 brands participate in his livestream, a nearly 20% increase year-on-year. The number of product links surpassed 4,000, covering almost all categories of consumer goods. Domestic brands accounted for over 60% of the product links, demonstrating the enthusiastic pursuit of domestic brands by consumers.
Four key trends emerged during this year's Double 11:
Firstly, the "Winter Warmer Economy" continues to thrive. As temperatures dropped and cold waves swept across China, consumer demand for thermal products significantly increased. In Li Jiaqi's livestream, thermal underwear, down jackets, heaters, and other "winter warmer economy" products were highly sought after, with nearly 150 product links and over 2 million orders, achieving a doubling of sales compared to the same period last year.
Secondly, the domestic consumption boom continues. This year's Double 11 saw numerous domestic "bestsellers" and "dark horse" brands emerge, such as Kefaimei collagen sticks and Shuangmei's third-generation Yu Rong cream, gaining enthusiastic reception from consumers in the livestream, showcasing the strong competitiveness of domestic brands.
Thirdly, continuous growth in pet and baby product categories. As consumer attention to pet and baby products continues to rise, sales of these products in the livestreams achieved substantial growth. Overall sales of baby products increased by nearly 50%, with products like butter cream and pee pads becoming hot sellers.
Fourthly, hot sales of home appliances. Under the warm breeze of national subsidies, the home furnishings, interior design, and home appliance industries experienced a boom period.
