This has set a new record for the number of bits of superconducting quantum computer on China's cloud platform, and will further promote the development of quantum computing software and hardware and ecological construction.
It is reported that the cloud platform launched this time connects users with quantum computing devices through cloud technology, supporting users to conduct quantum computing experiments and development remotely. Zhu Xiaobo, professor of University of Science and Technology of China and chief engineer of "Zuchongzhi" quantum computing, told reporters that the number of bits is an important indicator to measure the computing power of quantum computer. The R&D team of China University of Science and Technology has made improvements to the original "Zuchong No. 2" 66-bit chip by adding 110 coupling bit control interfaces, allowing users to manipulate up to 176 quantum bits. In addition to the bit size, the design indicators of the new generation of quantum computer connected to the "Zuchongzhi" cloud platform also aim at the international advanced level, and constantly debug and improve the performance in terms of key indicators such as connectivity, fidelity, Coherence time, etc. related to the performance of the quantum computer.
It is reported that quantum computer has high R&D threshold, harsh operating environment and complex auxiliary equipment. Quantum information of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has cooperated with the Institute of Quantum Technology Innovation, the Software Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Kedaliaodun Company and other units to develop core devices, programming languages and software, and jointly built a 176 bit superconducting quantum computer cloud platform.
Peng Chengzhi, Executive Vice Commander in Chief of "Zuchongzhi" Quantum Computing and Chairman of Science and Technology Big Power Shield Company, told reporters that the cloud platform is open to global users, and the public can use the quantum computing cloud platform to personally experience simple quantum computing programming and image experiments. For industrial users, remote access to quantum computer can further explore new applications.
